Biden's decision against many years of tradition.
I've read an article written by Donald Judd, Kate
Sullivan and Phil Mattingly on CNN about president Biden's recent decision. He
believes that former president, Donald Trump should not recieve intelligence
briefings, as most of former presidents did, after they were replaced. The current
US president explained, when asked about this topic on CBS interview, that the
reason for that lies in Trump's "erratic behaviour".
I think I understand Mr. Biden's opinion, especially
after recent events on the Capitol, however I don't think that is the only
reason. I'm not against fixing some of Trump's decisions, but I think Biden
should focus on doing just that, rather than present him as an unpredictable
person and slander him in the media. Even before, when he had just won the
election he wanted to destroy Trump in the media instead of respecting the opponent.
As he said himself, he "ran like hell to defeat him because I thought he
was unfit to be president". He won, it's over, he should move on and do
what he needs to do as a new president. If he doesn't want to let Trump get
those reports than so be it, but he shouldn't continue to exaggerate Donald Trump's decisions and behaviour.
